Frank M. Holtslag is the founder and President of Villas in Style Inc. The concept and idea of Villas in Style was born in 2005 and the company was incorporated in August 2010. Villas in Style is a company that helps Villa and Boutique Hotel owners achieve their goal in making their property successful. Look, feel, vibe, comfort, Style and quality are important elements as well as good marketing, distribution and revenue management.
Villas in Style specializes in these areas to maximize each individual Villa or Boutique Hotel’s potential.

Born on June 11, 1961, Holtslag grew up in Arnhem, The Netherlands with his two sisters and brother. Their late father William Holtslag was a Medical Doctor. Their stay at home mother lives near Arnhem, The Netherlands and is 81. She still lives independently, drives her own car and is in good health.

Holtslag attended public elementary school and private high school where he discovered at young age the interest in Hospitality and Design.
Holtslag entered Hotel Management College, Zwolle The Netherlands where he was President of the Students Wine Association and an active member organizing special events.
During the 4 years of Hotel Management education, Holtslag worked several positions in local hotels and restaurants from washing dishes, waiting tables, front desk, bartending, banquets, kitchen chef and night audit.
After Hotel Management College Holtslag moved to Amsterdam, The Netherlands were he began his career with Hilton International as Night Auditor at the 245 room Hilton Amsterdam. With Hilton he moved up the ranks and was Front Office Manager when he accepted the position of Assistant General Manager of the nearby five star hotel and Michelin star restaurant The Garden Hotel/Restaurant de Kersentuin.
After three years at The Garden Hotel, Holtslag had the opportunity to start his own hotel in the city centre of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Started with one small boutique hotel and added two more in the next 7 years. All three hotels are still doing very well today.

In 1993, Frank wanted to see more of the world. Sold his 3 hotels and moved to the United States where he started to work at The Phoenician resort in Arizona as Front Office supervisor. www.thephoenician.com

In 1995 Holtslag was recruited to become Front Office Manager at an upscale resort in the Florida Keys called the Pier House, Key West. www.pierhouse.com

Looking for a place to buy Holtslag ended up in Miami Beach, Florida where he bought his first condo and started working As Front Office Manager at what is now The Palms, South Beach. www.thepalmshotel.com

In 2000 Holtslag joined the company of Chris Blackwell, the founder of Island records (Bob Marley and others) and Island Outpost hotels. www.islandoutpost.com
Holtslag was hired in the role of Corporate Director of Revenue Management for all 13 of Blackwell’s Villas and Boutique Hotels.  Holtslag remained in this role until he became General Manager of the New Boutique Hotel Circa39 in Miami Beach. www.circa39.com
At this property Holtslag made a big impact on Style, Vibe and Revenues. In 2008 the owner was able to sell the property with great profits. The implementations made by Holtslag made this property to the success it became.
After the sale of Circa39 Holtslag became General Manager at The Sagamore Hotel www.sagamorehotel.com, one of the best hotels in the world according to Conde Nast Traveler. At The Sagamore Holtslag was involved with the restyling of some of the suites and common areas of this hotel.
Frank worked from 2005 until 2010 under the umbrella of Desires Hotels a Starwood preferred Hotel Management company. www.desireshotels.com

In 2005 the idea was born to do more with the Styling and Marketing of small hotels. Due to the busy daily work in the role as GM for these hotels it took until August 2010 to finally officially start the business called: Villas in Style. Frank Holtslag lives in North Bay Village, is a great horse lover, loves the local beaches, boating, loves to travel, cook and create style and comfort. Holtslag is single and finds himself blessed to have good friends and family.
